Architectural project for the new International School of São Lourenço in Almancil. From the formal language the solution follows a contemporary image, seeking "to give rhythm" on the primary structure by using advancing terraces and on the secondary structure a passive solar control mechanism. The architectural solution aims to minimize building energy costs through passive systems, in particular, cross ventilation, exterior solar protection, buried pipes system for heating and cooling of spaces and structural shading flaps, as well as the materials used in construction.
